As a fine artist, photographer, and teacher, Aimée thrives on exploring a multitude of mediums, from the timeless elegance of oil to the modern allure of resin, from traditional canvases to the tactile beauty of clay. Her work is not just her livelihood; it's an expression of her lifelong fascination with the endless possibilities of art.
Her journey as an artist began in year 3 when she crafted a Tudor house from a cereal box. That defining moment sparked her love for art, a love that led her to pursue a degree in Fine Art.
Art, for Aimée, is a constant evolution filled with opportunities. She thrives on challenges of new materials and challenging commissions be it spur of the moment or sign writing in Arabic. Every project is an opportunity for her to push the boundaries of creativity..
Aimee's creative passion lies in portrait painting, with oils being her favourite medium. She's also delved into acrylics and sculptural forms.
Beyond her own artistic pursuits, Aimee has taken a bold step to inspire and educate others through her recently launched art school. This venture offers children and adults alike the chance to unlock their hidden artistic talents. Aimee's mission is to make art accessible to all, fostering creativity and self-expression. Her vision includes broadening the horizons of learning and engagement through all creative forms.
At the heart of Aimee's business is a deep commitment to teaching children between the ages of 6 and up. Her educational courses emphasize not just creating art but understanding the artists and the creative processes that shape the world of art. She firmly believes that creativity is an inherent human quality that should never be suppressed. She aims to create opportunities for the local community to get involved and discover their artistic potential.
There's no other establishment quite like it in the local area. The courses and classes are educational, aiming to teach not just art but also the processes behind it.
Aimee's offerings include a wide range of services, from children's art classes and adult art courses to photography services for weddings and products. Additionally, her portfolio includes private commissions, and soon, you will have the opportunity to purchase her artwork in the form of prints.
Aimee's journey is studded with achievements, including a Studentship Award in 2018 and being named Billericay Portrait Artist of the Year in 2017. Her work has been showcased in prestigious exhibitions, such as the Billericay Art Trail and Southend-On-Sea The Royals. She holds a Fine Art degree from London Metropolitan University, The Cass, and has recently completed her PGCE in 2023.
A turning point in Aimee's journey was receiving criticism during her degree, a moment that temporarily shattered her confidence. However, she emerged from this experience stronger, and today she is dedicated to building the confidence of others, instilling the belief that art is deeply personal and expressive, and no one can definitively label it as "good" or "bad.".
Aimee's awards, including the Studentship Award, serve as a testament to her dedication and talent in the world of art. She lives by the motto, "The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit" and firmly believes that life is an ongoing journey of learning.
Aimee aspires to expand her art school's reach, into other towns, providing even more people with opportunities to explore their creative potential.
